How to learn Indian classical music

There are many ways to learn first you have to decide that wheater you have to learn professionally or self-learn.
You can join the music academy/college which provides certificates and degrees.
Self-learning process need really hard to research and doing self is little patience method,

      1) Music academy/college
Music learning is very important than performing it. Music college and academy are the best options to learn because someone is sharing his/her knowledge with you. And you have to just copy and paste in your mind and learn that. The written notes in classical music as different and hard as do re mi or western music notes. It's very easy and handy. It is a harsh truth that the fees of music is a little high in some academy so I suggest you to join music college which is affiliated with some known music university like " Indira kala sangeet vishwavidhyalay ". They charge very low fees for a year which might be comfortable for any individual or for parents also.

      2)  self- learn
In this process of learning music, you have to be very sharp and concentrated because only you are there to teach yourself. The best part is how you will find new things to learn. You have to purchase some books which provide some written notes about music like what is raag, thaat , swar, and different raag notes and some raag based composition for practice. You can learn through youtube, websites, blogs also or doing a course through the internet or digitally. You have to really prepare for this because even in both cases of the process in learning hard work is a must.

      • Decide first what you want to learn in music
what you want to learn specifically in music you want to learn dance form, instrument playing or vocals. the best thing to start with is an instrument to learn some instrument first you would know about music terms like what are the names of "sur"/ notes. you can take participate in different forms also like blues and jazz singing. But if you learn Indian classical or hindustani classical music you can expand in any direction like knowledge of music is very deeper in hindustani classical music. you can give shape to your music in any form. for instance "shape of you" ed sheeran song is based on bhimpalasi scale but with a western touch on it.

      • Passionate and hardworking
these kind of human beings can do anything in music because the only thing you need in music is patience wheater you are good or bad initially. i have learned music from my childhood but still, I m thing the same that i m not good or enough for do music but it is my personal review for my self i  cant get satisfaction from my own. But the journey of music is very long anyone cant says that i can learn in this perfect or estimated time period. Fly your wings toward music, it will give you happiness what you are doing

      VOCALS

you can easily learn vocal because we know to speak and producing sound from the mouth. just repeating behind the track is the best way to learn easily but singers and songs are hard then it gets difficult so try to keep listen and try to copy exactly as same as singers any just give a chance for 1 song practice a single song, not every song once you get that thing how it is working then you can apply it to all songs and music

      INSTRUMENT PLAYING

Intrument is very different from vocal because there is a little difference that you might understand when you learn in more mature level. instruments depend and your practice on them . Try to figure what kind of intrument you want to play like guitar has many types then try and choose. Instrument is of 2 types one is rhythm instrument and the other is in which you can play a melody . Rhythm instruments like drums, tabla, or instrument which you can strike. melody instrument like flute, piano, ukelele, harmonica. Guitar is a special instrument in which you can play melody and rhythm together

      DANCE

In indian classical music you can learn dance forms like kathak which is very beautiful dance form. in this dance form you can learn some details of music in which you have to perform dance like expression, sound of tapping foot, and many things.

Every thaat have some specific notes arrangement for creating a specific kind of mood by listening

In music, there are 3 types of swar is very basic

shudh swar, komal swar, tiwra swar
In the scale of 12 notes the sudh swar means the original notes, komal swar means the notes which is just half of the orignal note/swar. like if  RE  is the original note or swar then the note between original SA and RE  is called komal RE. Tiwra swar is the next swar of original swar.
